The Devon Retreat (2 Bed) Details

Bookings can now be taken for this cottage for stays from Friday 19th December 2025 onwards….

The Devon Retreat is a two bedroom, dog friendly semi-detached and very cosy little cottage with views from the private enclosed decking over distant Dartmoor!

Two very comfortable bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and one twin room will sleep 4 people very easily.  The open plan living room and kitchen means you can really make the most of your time together.  

There is also a king size sofa bed in the living area which gives you some sleeping options, or can accommodate one or two extra children if you need to - but do remember this is a small cottage with only one bathroom so more than 4 guests can feel a squeeze!

You’ll find a new Smart TV and of course free Wi-Fi. We are gloriously remote which can very occasionally mean the WiFi is tricky but usually the service is adequate for streaming etc.

The Devon Retreat sits right by two of our other cottages - the tiny one bedroom Devon Bolthole and the larger two bedroom Devon Hideaway which is ideal if you are a larger party or need to book separate cottages.  Indeed all 6 of our cottages are less than a minute’s walk from each other.

The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you will need, including a dishwasher, oven, small fridge/freezer and a microwave.  There are communal laundry facilities available for the use of guests free of charge in a separate building a few yards away.

The shower works very well, and is a pleasure to use. Please note there is no bath. There are further shower facilities within the changing rooms by the swimming pool.

The Retreat is all on one level, with a designated parking space right outside.

The indoor heated swimming pool, which is open daily 9am-9pm is seconds away, overlooking the fishing lake, BBQ area and general play space round the lake.

Check in is at 3pm and we ask you to make your departure by 10am on the day you leave.  Early arrivals and late departures can sometimes  be accommodated on request outside of busy seasons; there may be a small extra charge for this.
