Perfectly positioned between the dramatic wilds of Dartmoor and the golden beaches of Bude, this is your ultimate base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall—or simply getting away from it all to reset your soul.

Your Peaceful On-Site Sanctuary

You won’t find noisy bars, discos, or loud entertainment here. Instead, you'll wake up to the sound of birdsong and sleep under some of the darkest, most star-filled skies in the country.

During your stay, you can enjoy:

  • Heated Indoor Swimming Pool: Newly refurbished and open daily year-round (9am – 9pm). Because it’s exclusively for the few guests staying on-site, you’ll rarely have to share it.
  • Free On-Site Fishing: Relax by our well-stocked lakeside picnic area. Fishing is entirely free for all guests.
  • Private Stargazing Decking: Every cottage features a small, fully enclosed private deck—perfect for sipping a glass of wine under the stars while listening to the distant hoot of an owl.

  • Direct Trail Access: Step straight out of our little estate onto the Ruby Way, a gorgeous countryside trail for walking and cycling that loops directly into the famous Tarka Trail.
