The Devon Snug Details
Our new little Devon Snug is small but perfectly formed! It has recently been fully redecorated and newly furnished (February 2024).
A cosy open plan living room and kitchen means you can really make the most of your time together. You’ll find a new Smart TV and of course free Wi-Fi. We are gloriously remote which can occasionally mean the Wi-Fi is tricky but phone signal however seems generally adequate.
There is one cosy bedroom with a king size bed and an en suite bathroom. A luxury new Emma mattress and crisp white cotton rich bedding will ensure you enjoy an excellent sleep. If you can’t get away with leaving the children at home, there is also a very comfy king size sofa bed which can accommodate a further one or two guests - please note however that the Snug is a very tiny cottage and 4 guests may feel a bit of a squeeze!
The Devon Bolthole and the larger Devon Hideaway are about 30 seconds walk away and so all are ideally placed to be booked together for extended family holidays, or if you want to holiday with friends but would prefer not to share!
The kitchen is well equipped, with a dishwasher, oven, fridge/freezer and a microwave. There are communal laundry facilities available to use free of charge in a separate building a few yards away.
Please note the Snug does not have a shower. There is instead a lovely bath with a hand held shower attachment/mixer tap. There are further shower facilities within the changing rooms by the swimming pool when the pool is open.
There is a lovely enclosed and very sunny little decking area for your use, with outdoor furniture and beautiful distant views of Dartmoor ahead, and fields to the left.
The Snug is all on one level, and the allocated parking space is just outside the door. Please note there is a step up to the decking in order to access the entrance. The site is compact and neatly nestled into the side of a hill, but if mobility is a little limited it is possible to drive right down to the lake, swimming pool, childrens play and BBQ areas.
Check in is at 3pm and we ask you to make your departure by 10am on the day you leave. Early arrivals and late departures can sometimes be accommodated on request outside of busy seasons; if requested and available there will be a small extra charge for this.
